American Medical Women's Association (AMWA)

The AMWA chapter at the CWRU School of Medicine works to develop leadership and mentorship opportunities, tackle obstacles to gender equality, and advance health education and advocacy for gender diverse communities. In that spirit, we have great things planned for 2021-2022 including

• Opportunities for students to identify mentors (e.g. speed mentoring events with physicians)
• Panels and open discussions with female physicians on their professional and personal experiences/journeys
• Social events including brunch with physicians at Dr. Mehta’s house
• Seminars and workshops on improving health education and healthcare access for women and LGBTQIA+ individuals

Individual membership costs $75 for all four years of medical school.
