About UsThe Dermatology Interest Group (DIG) promotes interest in the field of dermatology by organizing educational panels with guest speakers and providing opportunities for medical students to interact with residents, faculty in the department, and more. These opportunities include participating in Cleveland’s Miles for Melanoma 5K with residents and faculty, grand rounds, guest subspecialty lectures, free skin cancer screenings, invitations to research conferences, the CCF Derm - Norma Herr Women's Shelter - WDS Partnership initiative, Cleveland Dermatology Society meetings, and more.
Our goals include highlighting the multifaceted aspects of dermatology by holding subspecialty panels as well as providing students with insights into the clinical challenges and new developments within the field. We also aim to provide useful information for medical students across all years about ways to find mentorship, shadowing, and research opportunities as well as help elucidate the residency application process by organizing a match panel with fourth-year medical students who have matched in dermatology. |
