John Hay Cleveland School of Science & Medicine Tutoring Program:

If you’re interested in tutoring and meeting some awesome high schoolers, volunteering at John Hay Cleveland School of Science and Medicine is a fun, low-commitment, rewarding way to do so. TWe typically walk over to John Hay on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3 PM to provide homework and test prep help to students. The high school is a ten minute walk from the HEC and sessions last from 3:10-4:15. Most commonly, we help juniors prep for the ACT and SAT by working through practice questions with them. You can choose the topics you would like to tutor in (ACT math, AP bio, AP calc, etc.), and you can also choose when you’d like to tutor. We send out a sign-up shortly before each month starts, and you can sign up for the days you’re free. Additionally, there will be a tutoring stipend available for 12 tutors. If you tutor for 20 hours, you will be eligible for a stipend of $250, and if you tutor for 40 hours, you will be eligible to receive $500. These students are funny, smart, and overall wonderful to work with, and we know that you will truly enjoy your tutoring experience! Our sign up sheet is linked below and please contact either Maddie or Matt if you would like more information.
