Welcome to the website for the Orthopedics Interest Group at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine!
Over the years, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has become known as a strong institution for educating future orthopedic surgeons. CWRU consistently matches a significant number of students into orthopedic surgery - 19 in 2019, and 10 in 2020! The Orthopedics Interest Group (OIG) is designed to help students explore their interest in orthopedics and work toward a career in the field.
Our mission is to provide our members with all of the elements necessary to explore the specialty of orthopedics by connecting students with research, shadowing, and mentorship opportunities; hosting skill sessions and discussions led by residents and faculty; and establishing relationships with physicians, clinics, and labs.
In order to stay updated on our upcoming events, interested students should join the OIG mailing list by signing into your Case Gmail account and filling out our Google form here.
