Although technology is advancing at breakneck speed, many areas of medicine lag far behind. There is a demonstrated need for pioneers who are proficient not only in technology, but in medicine as well. Programmers in Medicine aims to develop programming skills in medical students of all backgrounds and skill levels, and to foster group efforts towards developing skills and tools for medical education, clinical practice, and research.
