WHO ARE WE
The Renee Jones Empowerment Center (RJEC) is a local nonprofit focused on helping victims and survivors of human trafficking in Northeast Ohio. Our organization assists RJEC in their monthly Project Red Cord events, which provide areas of high rates of human trafficking access to food, health information, and other resources. We specifically coordinate the medical service table where healthcare professional students perform blood pressure screenings, engage in health promotion, and provide healthcare linkage information to community members. Through these events, we seek to provide all healthcare professional students an opportunity to improve their blood pressure screening abilities and to participate in community engagement.
