Share the Loaf is a medical student run organization with the mission to encourage people to make donations to charitable organizations in exchange for wonderful homemade loaves of bread! As our nation moves into an uncertain future, we want to remind people of the important work being done by organizations like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Trevor Project.
To combat the current wave of political uncertainty, medical students Anisha Garg and Kelsey Jensen established Share the Loaf: Make the World a Bread-er Place. The organization was designed to encourage charitable donations in exchange for homemade loaves of bread while also providing us with a mature defense mechanism: altruism. Every time we are frustrated by the decisions (both political and social) being made in government, we look to our bread donations for solace. Founded in December 2016, Share the Loaf has raised and donated $3,254.66 to Planned Parenthood, American Civil Liberties Union, Natural Resources Defense Council, Trevor Project, and White Helmets. We want to share our organization with you and encourage you to Make the World a Bread-er Place!
