AMSA: Global Health

AMSA Global Health is a part of the AMSA organization and will serve as a resource for medical students, faculty, staff, and community members to engage in global health issues.

Mission:
Our goal is to serve as a comprehensive resource to help medical students gain an appreciation and awareness of global health issues and to provide opportunities for research and community involvement. Through lecture series, collaborations, and workshops medical students will be able to explore all facets of global health and through discussions, projects, and fundraisers students will be able to engage in global health initiatives.

We welcome all members who wish to explore global health, regardless of past experience, and our meetings are open to everyone! 
Goals

AMSA Global Health is dedicated to fostering awareness and involvement in the field of global health. We seek to: 
  • Educate ourselves and our community regarding issues of global health
  • Develop skills that are applicable to the field of global health 
  • Engage in global health service opportunities that are part of responsible and sustainable solutions
  • Prepare students for research or careers in global health
  • Discuss opportunities to become involved in global health both domestically and abroad
